The Synergix Group was a hospital management firm recruited by Kerry Weaver in 1997 to manage the ER. At the time, it was headed by Ellis West.
History[]
Little is known of Synergix and its history. Weaver hired Ellis West in 1997 to investigate the ER's workings and devise a plan to increase its efficiency. Former ER department head William Swift was working for Synergix at the time. Weaver and West eventually became romantically involved. When Weaver discovered Synergix closed down most departments they worked on for a sizeable profit, she broke off her relationship with West and convinced County General's board of directors to break off its negotiation of a management contract regarding the ER.
